- This is the website of the Surgical
Pathology Consultation Service and the Gastrointestinal
Biopsy Service of Para Chandrasoma,
M.D. This is a free access educational website whose intention
is to provide accurate information in ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY. All
future revisions of the author's published textbooks and future
projects will appear only in this website. The demographic information
of case material has been changed in a manner that will ensure
that individual patients cannot be recognized. Comments, feedback
and questions are welcome through the Contact Us feature. Material
for publication in the website is welcome but subject to acceptance
and editing by the author.
- Problems in Surgical Pathology encountered in the Surgical
Pathology Consultation Service will be presented in a case-based
format with the intention of progressively developing a Problem-oriented
Surgical Pathology textbook. Intended for pathology residents
and pathologists. Contains images of case material, case discussion
and references.
- Chandrasoma P. Gastrointestinal Pathology. Appleton
& Lange, 1999. Problems encountered in the GI
Biopsy Service will be presented in a case based format to
enhance the textbook. Intended for pathology and gastroenterology
residents, pathologists and gastroenterologists. Contains images
of case material, case discussion and references.
- A presentation of extracts of published papers and new concepts
of the pathology of reflux disease developed by the author. These
concepts are presently a source of considerable controversy. Also
presented will be summaries and analysis of other papers appearing
in the literature. I predict that the new concepts of the pathophysiology
of gastroesophageal reflux that are presented here will be accepted
and become standard within the next ten years.
- Chandrasoma PT, Apuzzo MLJ. Stereotactic Brain Biopsy.
Igaku-Shoin, 1989. Problems encountered in the interpretation

and references.
- Chandrasoma P, Taylor CR. Concise Pathology, Third Edition.
Appleton & Lange, 1998. Textual presentation of pathology
suitable for the second year medical school pathology course.

- Consists of a selection of the best images in the site. These
will be presented with multiple choice questions and hyperlinked
to the appropriate text sections relating to these images. These
images are suitable for downloading for presentations. The questions
represent a challenge for the residents before they access the
textual material.
